This is not a Stellar's Jay feather. This is a Blue Jay feather. I consistently mix them up, so I'm going with it in the title. Humor me. Also, this pair does not match in length. I don't know what happened, they started out the same length, but somewhere in the process I melted one bit and forgot to trim another bit and here we are. Also, I managed to forget my hallmark and quality stamp on these, so I have priced them accordingly and will provide a signed document that these are indeed sterling silver, made by me. Clearly I was tired and distracted (by a snack?) on Day THREE of the Aisha Likes It Earring Challenge.
Feather earring measures 3 1/4" long, including the hook, peanut and feather earring measures 3 1/2" long.

These micro-mosaics are very durable and low maintenance; here are a few suggestions to keep them looking their best. Your jewelry should always be the last thing you put on when getting ready and the first thing you take off when you get home. After wearing, wipe jewelry with a clean, soft cloth to remove oils and light tarnish. Periodically, you may clean the jewelry with mild soap, cool water and a soft bristle brush, but do not immerse in water. Never wear micro-mosaics while swimming or showering. The metal portions may be cleaned with a polishing cloth impregnated with polishing compound, being careful not to get the compound on the micro-mosaics as it may discolor them.
