BROOCHES: Two pysanky brooches for Peace. 

The legend of Pysanky (intricately dyed Ukrainian Easter eggs) says that as long as somewhere someone makes Pysanky there will be peace. For years I have been making pysanky to keep the balance; to feel as though I can make a difference, as prayer for a peaceful world and better future for us all. Join me.

Two brooches made of sterling silver, and decorated with micro-mosaics. One with pine boughs representing everlasting life, and curls of protection. The other represents a sunflower, and also has curls of protection, a traditional motif for pysanky. Nickel silver stick pin backs

NECKLACE: Three bullet casings were sent to me from Ukraine. They metamorphosed into butterflies; one found home and 100% of the proceeds were sent to SVOI Foundation, to help Ukrainian people rebuild their lives in the midst of Russia’s aggression. The necklace is hand-wrought of sterling silver with a brass casing from a bullet fired in Ukraine, and micro-mosaic butterfly wings that say “Heroyi ne vmyrayut (Heroes don’t die)” on the reverse. 
Handmade chain by Desiree Ferguson of Little Ree Jewelry includes accent beads of Turquoise, tourmaline, aquamarine, malachite and opal.

Chain is 20" long and pendant is 5" long.
