“She Sets the Table: Moon Over the Salish Sea”

“She Sets the Table: Moon Over the Salish Sea”

Collaboration between Scott Jensen and Courtney Denise Lipson
Yellow cedar, micro-mosaics, pigments

A full moon rises over the Salish Sea, with the Olympic Mountain Range in the distance. From behind a madrone tree we see the San Juan Islands, both US and Canada in view.

To the moon there are no borders, only shimmering water, beautiful creatures and majestic land. As Indigenous People have known for millenia, the table is set at low tide, a cycle initiated by the moon.

A surprise orca dives underwater on reverse, ever present yet only sometimes seen.

This moon has sold, but we are working on other collaborations. Please inquire.

Your indvidual works and your collaborations speak to the sacred. This moon is charged. It’s beauty is understood. But the sacred comes from beyond, like charged particles that flow to where they are called. Like attracts like. Light attracts light. Boy howdy!
