two pysanky micro-mosaic brooches and a bullet casing necklace with butterfly wings emerging as if from a chrysalis.

For Ukraine

I am raffling off this pysanka brooch to help with medical expenses through SVOYI Foundation. I've done this before, and I'll keep rising to needs as I can. You've joined me in these endeavors, and for that I'm grateful. Currently, we've sold 79 tickets so far, and a generous donor purchased the bullet casing butterfly necklace so we are going to be able to send over $1000US in aid so far with this campaign. The other pysanka brooch is available as a "Buy Now" purchase if you'd like to own one. I produce a limited amount of Ukraine-themed jewelry and all money received from the sales goes directly to Ukraine via people I know and trust. There's still time: tickets will be sold until 10pm PST tonight and then I will use a randomizer to draw a name and contact the winner privately.

Friends in Ukraine are grateful we are still with them. I won’t stop fighting for human rights; humanity, the environment, for Congo, Ukraine, Gaza, prisoners of war, people who fall through the cracks in a broken system. There is so much need in the world, and while I often speak out about things global in nature, it is also really important to remain local, in our own communities. Donating to our local food bank and the private mutual aid networks helping unhoused people with food, access to care, lodging...we protest and build community simultaneously.

I was frustrated this morning by a scammer trying to make a fraudulent purchase for these raffle tickets. Even though I was able to report and shut down the "sale", it took quite a bit of my time. Whenever I speak out against injustice somewhere, some bot or scammer comes knocking. It’s not coincidence. It’s exhausting running a small business online, and I’m not even very good at it; but I do use the report, delete and block buttons often and without pause. I’m rambling a bit because it feels like an octopus has wrapped itself around my limbs and is pulling me apart, and I know a lot of us are feeling similarly. Hang in there. Together we are strong and can accomplish so much. We have to be willing and keep our hearts open, friends. We need each other.

:::UPDATE:::

We have a winner! Thank you, EveryOne!
