View of my studio with metal forming tools, and finished jewelry. Paintings hang on the walls, and chaos abounds.

In Preparation for WAST

The past few months have flown by, and we are now two weeks away from the Whatcom Artist Studio Tour (WAST). There has been behind the scenes work all year for local artists to be ready to invite you in to our creative spaces.

If you have been to our studio before, you know that my husband, Scott's wood carving part of the building is much larger, and my studio is a room within that. It is a cozy space for me to work in but a little snug for visitors so Scott is handing his shop over to me and I will be sharing it with my friend Suzannah Gusukuma of Lightning Tree Designs. Check out her work here and a video demonstrating how she electrifies her subjects here. We will both be demonstrating our techniques and have available work to sell. (Due to safety concerns, Suzannah will not be using electricity in her demonstrations.)

In addition to having my jewelry available during the tour, I have 25 different notecard designs from my original art and photography for sale in sets of five for $25, including coordinating stickers to seal the envelopes with. Limited quantities for now, but if there is enough interest I will reprint. Let me know if you'd like a set.

This tour will be a great chance for you to try on my work, hold it in your hands, see the details in person, and purchase. We look forward to seeing you soon!
