This is my third year participating in the Instagram earring challenge created by my friend and colleague, Aisha Lockridge of www.aishalikesit.com The idea is to challenge ourselves to make a pair of earrings a day for seven days. This challenge is tough, but it is a fun way to kickstart some creative energy.
Pattern inspiration in the micro-mosaics:
Days one (lg) and two (sm) feature earrings with red butterfly wings. Large pair is 1 1/2" long, small pair is 1" long
Day three is a purple and teal butterfly version with a bright pop of orange. 2 1/4" long.
Day four inspired by the Cuban Trogon bird. 2 1/8" long
Day five a Painted Stork. 2 3/8" long
Day six are Monarch Butterflies. 3" long
Day Seven is a European Bee Eater bird. Earrings are 2 1/4" long, Pendant measures 2 1/2" long x 1 3/4" wide.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
After wearing, wipe jewelry with a clean, soft cloth to remove oils and light tarnish. Periodically, you may clean the jewelry with mild soap, cool water and a soft bristle brush, but do not immerse in water. Do not wear micro-mosaics while swimming or showering. The metal portions may be cleaned with a polishing cloth impregnated with polishing compound, being careful not to get the compound on the micro-mosaics as it may discolor them.
