Policies & Care Instructions

I enjoy designing and fabricating my jewelry by hand...the joy is in the journey.

I begin with square wire in sterling silver or gold, bend it into shape, and solder the ends for a continuous frame.  That frame is then soldered to a sterling silver back piece which I hand cut, file, and polish.  For a few designs I make originals in sterling silver, oversee the casting process, and then I hand inlay the micro-mosaics. Cast pieces are always indicated as such. Each piece is hallmarked with a CDL jewelry maker's mark, formed into shape, and then the micro-mosaic process begins.

With a pair of fine point tweezers, each bead is carefully laid into the frame--embedded in epoxy--standing on its edge so the hole is not visible.  Once the entire frame is filled with a beaded design, the epoxy is allowed to cure, and a final layer of colored tile grout is added to stabilize the micro-mosaic.  Once cured this finish is water resistant and durable.  But remember, these materials are glass and grout; the jewelry should never be struck on a hard surface, twisted, pinched, bent or impacted (hit) in any way.

When purchasing a cuff bracelet, you'll want to take measurements of your wrist to be sure it will fit as it cannot be re-sized. Click here for a short video on wearing cuffs. Contact me if you have questions or concerns; I stand by the quality of my work.

You may clean the jewelry with soap and water and a soft bristle brush, but do not immerse in water. The metal portions may be cleaned with a polishing cloth impregnated with polishing compound, being careful not to get the compound on the beaded areas as it may discolor the lighter colors of grout.

A message about SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19 and how I am handling your artwork during this pandemic: my husband and I have been self-isolating since early March with only short, essential trips to the post office and grocery store, wearing masks. Because we do not know for certain how long the virus lives on surfaces, I wear a mask and package all mail thoughtfully with clean hands, with your health foremost in mind. We quarantine incoming mail in a location of our garage, open it, washing our hands thoroughly afterward, and recommend you do the same. Please stay home and healthy if you are able.

Refunds and Exchanges
I will accept returns on unworn, undamaged, unaltered items within 7 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange. Return shipping charges are the buyer's responsibility, and insurance is recommended.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or special requests.
